about brett

Brett Anspach is setting new standards as a distinguished voice in modern music.

Hailing from Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, Brett began as a multi-talented musican recording his own project UltraViolent in 2014, putting creative control into his own hands. What started as a personal endeavor quickly grew into a career. Prominent in the rock and metal genres, his production style is shaped by heavy influences such as Gojira, Periphery, and Fit for an Autopsy.

Brett has spent the last several years as a touring guitarist for Galactic Empire, the galaxy’s foremost Star Wars–inspired instrumental metal band. Their debut music video went viral with over 15 million views, leading to national press coverage in Huffington Post, Guitar World, Entertainment Weekly, and MSNBC, along with a live TV performance on E! during coverage of the 2016 Academy Awards. Galactic Empire went on to release two full-length albums on Rise Records before partnering with Pure Noise Records for their following releases. The band has toured extensively across North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia, appearing at major festivals, comic cons, sporting events, and supporting arena acts Ozzy Osbourne and Babymetal.

Brett’s accomplishments extend far beyond touring. Galactic Empire’s renditions of “The Mandalorian” and “Indiana Jones” have earned airplay on SiriusXM Liquid Metal. As the active drummer for New Jersey metalcore outfit Monument of a Memory, he helped them break onto SiriusXM Octane with their hit single “Cynical Savior”. In 2023, Brett’s DOOM-inspired solo release “Colossus” was awarded “Instrumental EP of the Year" by the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, and in 2024, UltraViolent was named “Best Metal Band” by the same committee, seeing Brett succeed in a vocalist role.

Brett proudly endorses Legator Guitars, Fishman, and Stringjoy.
